About Diane Walters

About Diane Walters – Ceramic Artist & Residency Host

Diane Walters is a lifelong ceramic artist with over 42 years of experience in wheel throwing and sculpture. She is the founder of eARTh Studios in Nelson, BC, and hosts immersive artist residencies and workshops for ceramicists and creatives of all levels.

Her practice includes working with low-, medium-, and high-fire clays using wheel throwing, hand-building, sculpture, and surface design techniques. Diane regularly attends the NCECA National Council on Ceramic Education and has exhibited her work in galleries throughout Alberta and BC. She is a member of the BC Potters Guild

Residency Focus – Earth, Layers, and Liminality

Diane’s ceramic art draws inspiration from the earth’s sedimentary layers, tectonic shifts, and the subtle stories held in natural materials. Her sculptural works use natural oxides, geological forms, and meditative patterns to explore themes of movement, emergence, and change.
